Program Admission Requirements
MSCS and MSDS
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum GPA of 3.0 from an accredited institution. Degree required to begin program; completion not required at time of application.
College Transcripts
You may submit unofficial transcripts during the application process. After admission, you will be required to submit official transcripts.
Two letters of recommendation
Faculty members and/or professional colleagues.
TOEFL/IELTS/DUOLINGO SCORES
Required for international students.
Statement of Purpose
Optional, but strongly recommended.
Resume
Optional, but strongly recommended.
Master of Science in Computer Science
Our MSCS graduate students are passionate scientists, engineers and developers, looking to advance their careers and expertise for roles in computer system analysis, programming, database administration, software development, software quality assurance, or web developing.
While not required, most of our MSCS students enter the program with experience/knowledge in the following areas:
- AVA Programming
- Data Structures
- Computer Organization & Programming
Master of Science in Data Science
Our MSDS graduate students have a strong acumen for data analysis and a solid mathematical and/or computer science background and are looking to take the next step in their career as a data scientist or analyst, statistician, network engineer, AI research scientist or data analytics specialist.
While not required, most of our MSDS students enter the program with experience/knowledge in the following areas:
- Multivariable Calculus
- Linear Algebra
- Probability theory (probability and statistics)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R or MATLAB
